Exit Poll: Merkel's party looks defeated in two states of Germany




 Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel's mid-right party seems to be clearly losing in two state elections on Sunday. The exit poll indicated this. Assembly elections have been held in two states six months before the national elections. The national election will determine who will succeed Merkel, the leader of the country for a long time.



Voting took place on Sunday for state legislatures in the country's southwestern states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. With this, the nationwide election marathon started, which would end with the national election on 26 September.
